About the Museum

UBC Museum of Anthropology

UBC is located on the traditional land of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people, or “People of the River Grass”. The museum is superbly situated overlooking the English Bay, and the Howe Sound fjord. We’ve booked the museum with guides that will take groups around and offer explanation about the pacific Northwest nations, their art and culture. The museum restaurant can hold all of us inside (if it rains) but also extends outdoors (if sunny).

Note: The conference has aimed to remain as “green” as possible. All plates, cups, and cutlery are compostable and will be composted on site at the campus.
